🏠 House Guide
Always take your keys — you'll need them to get back in.
Lock the back doors when leaving or at night.
Quiet after 10pm please — Amsterdam is dense, voices carry, and our neighbours have young children.
Please only flush toilet paper — nothing else. The house has a sewage disposal pump which can clog easily with wet wipes and similar items.
Feel free to use the backyard and BBQ. Please note the garden room is not accessible to guests.
Load it up, drop in a pod, press the power button (top left of door), and close to start. Full cycle ~3.5 hrs — door opens automatically when done.
Use the Katoen cycle on both washer and dryer. Liquid detergent is on the shelf to the left. Washer: ~1h20, or ~40 min on Super Speed. Dryer: 2+ hrs minimum (normal for European dryers).

Underfloor heating throughout — each room has a small wireless digital thermostat. Changes take time to feel, so adjust early. We keep it comfortable by default, but message us and we can tweak it remotely.
Amsterdam uses communal underground garbage receptacles shared by the neighbourhood — there are no private bins at the house. Ours are to the right of the house at the playground corner. Glass and paper/cardboard are at the far corner. Plastic goes in with general waste — no organic waste processing.
The Amazon Fire TV remote (left) is all you need — it turns on both the Fire Stick and the TV automatically. Use it to stream Netflix, Prime Video, Spotify, and more.
For cable TV, use the Ziggo remote (right) and switch the input to HDMI 1.
🎵 For music, just ask Alexa — "Alexa, play jazz" or whatever takes your fancy!
☕ Coffee
☕ There's a Nespresso machine at home with pods — perfect for your morning coffee. That said, Amsterdam has a fantastic coffee culture and great spots are just minutes away!

🌿 Vondelpark
